On October 19, Gamers Nexus revealed details of the Huawei Atlas 300I DUO , a dual-core AI inference card designed for intelligent computing in data centers. It is a single-slot , fanless accelerator that integrates two GPUs and offers a balance between computational power and power consumption.
The Atlas 300I DUO features 16 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz and up to 96 GB of LPDDR4X ECC memory , with a bandwidth of 408 GB/s . The system connects via PCIe 4.0×8 , while power consumption reaches 150 W.
On the performance front, the card offers 80 TOPS of INT8 processing power and 140 TFLOPS of FP16 processing power, with a power efficiency of 1.86 TOPS/W . It also supports H.264/H.265 video decoding up to 256 channels 1080p30 or 32 channels 4K60 , and encoding up to 48 channels 1080p30 or 6 channels 4K60 , with a maximum resolution of 8192×8192 . 4K JPEG encoding and decoding are also included.

According to Gamers Nexus’ analysis, the Huawei Atlas 300I DUO adopts a slim and lightweight design, with a thickness of just 18.46 mm . The dissipation system relies on a graphene pad and an aluminum heatsink , without an integrated fan: the card therefore requires active cooling from the host system , a solution common in data center servers.
The teardown conducted by the Gamers Nexus team highlighted a simpler design approach than NVIDIA workstation graphics cards, with basic components and minimalistic, yet effective thermal management for the intended use.
Huawei describes the Atlas 300I DUO as a device that integrates a general-purpose processor, AI core, and codec into a single module. It is intended for AI reasoning , video analytics , OCR recognition , speech analysis , and data clustering applications, finding application in areas such as the internet, smart cities, and intelligent transportation .
Despite its high performance, the card is not compatible with desktop systems . Therefore, Gamers Nexus said it plans to obtain a Huawei Atlas 800 server , equipped with a Kunpeng 920 CPU , for in-depth testing.
The Huawei Atlas 300I DUO is not currently on sale to the public , but some foreign media report a purchase price of around $1,400 , equivalent to about 10,000 yuan . The wholesale price on the Chinese market would be lower, making it a competitive solution in the landscape of AI cards for data centers.
