Description: MessagePack for C# is a MessagePack serializer for C#. Prior to 2.5.303 and 3.1.9, deserializing attacker-controlled MessagePack data as System.Object through PrimitiveObjectFormatter can cause excessive memory allocation. The formatter allocates an object[] from each declared array length before the configured object-graph depth limit rejects the input, while nested array headers can reuse the same trailing unread bytes to satisfy per-header length validation. A comparatively small payload can therefore keep many large arrays alive at once. When an attacker can submit such data repeatedly, the allocations can cause severe managed-heap pressure, excessive garbage collection, process termination, or loss of service. Exposure requires an application to deserialize untrusted data through the affected formatter path and permit repeated attacker-controlled submissions, such as a reachable ASP.NET Core SignalR hub method with an object parameter and AddMessagePackProtocol() enabled. This issue is fixed in versions 2.5.303 and 3.1.9.
The CVSS Base Score is a score from 0 to 10 that represents the intrinsic severity of a vulnerability. A higher score indicates greater severity.
Database CWE: v4.18
CWE-1325: Improperly Controlled Sequential Memory Allocation ↗
The product manages a group of objects or resources and performs a separate memory allocation for each object, but it does not properly limit the total amount of memory that is consumed by all of the combined objects.

The EPSS (Exploit Prediction Scoring System) is a score from 0 to 1 that indicates the probability that a vulnerability will be exploited in the real world in the next 30 days. A higher value indicates a greater likelihood of exploitation.
The Percentile indicates how much higher this vulnerability's EPSS score is compared to all other vulnerabilities in the EPSS database. For example, a percentile of 0.90 (90%) means that 90% of vulnerabilities have an EPSS score equal to or lower than the current one.

The CISA KEV Catalog lists vulnerabilities that have been actively exploited in the real world. If a CVE is present in this catalog, it indicates that the threat is immediate and mitigation should be a top priority.
CVE CVE-2026-92707 is not present in the CISA KEV Catalog. This indicates that it is not currently classified by CISA as an actively exploited vulnerability.
