Nevada’s government network was paralyzed after an incident in the early morning hours of August 24. The attack rendered the state’s IT infrastructure inoperable and forced most offices to close to the public. Only essential services and employees involved in critical processes remain operational.
The governor’s office reported that specialists have been working around the clock to restore service since the incident was detected.
Temporary paths and workarounds were used to maintain access to several resources. At the same time, authorities emphasize that the primary goal is not the speed of restoring services, but their security. Before restarting, all systems are tested and confirmed to be functioning correctly.

Citizens are advised to prepare for potential disruptions: Government agency websites and phone lines may be delayed or unavailable.
However, emergency calls to 911 are still functioning normally. Authorities emphasize that the problems only affect government infrastructure and do not affect residents’ home internet connections or mobile networks.
Offices remain closed at this time.
While investigations continue, authorities say there are no signs of personal data leaks.
However, residents are reminded of the risks of fraud: they should be wary of calls, messages, or letters requesting passwords and data. Government officials emphasize that official services will not request such information via email or telephone.
State authorities are coordinating their actions with federal and local authorities. All official notifications about the recovery process are published centrally to prevent the dissemination of unconfirmed information.
