Today, Thursday, September 4, 2025, US President Donald Trump will host over two dozen technology and business leaders for a dinner in the newly renovated White House Rose Garden. An administration official confirmed the event, confirming the presence of prominent figures such as Mark Zuckerberg of Meta, Tim Cook of Apple, Bill Gates of Microsoft, and Sam Altman of OpenAI.

The meeting represents a significant moment in the relationship between Trump and Silicon Valley, which has previously been marked by clashes over issues such as content moderation and antitrust regulations. Following Trump’s 2024 election victory, the tech sector has begun a process of realignment, redefining its position toward the new administration.

According to insiders, several executives have sought to align with the White House’s priorities, particularly by supporting the reduction of diversity and equity initiatives. At the same time, tech companies are showing great interest in strengthening dialogue with Trump on the potential of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.

White House spokesman Davis Ingle said that the president looks forward to welcoming top business and technology leaders for this occasion and for future dinners on the new Rose Garden patio. The event was first reported by The Hill.

The Rose Garden renovation, completed in August, transformed the iconic lawn into a stone patio with tables and umbrellas, reminiscent of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida. The dinner follows a few days after a White House AI summit hosted by First Lady Melania Trump, which was attended by several CEOs and industry leaders.

Invitees included Sundar Pichai of Google, Safra Catz of Oracle, David Limp of Blue Origin, Sanjay Mehrotra of Micron Technology, and Greg Brockman of OpenAI. Also attending will be Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Vivek Ranadive of the Sacramento Kings, Shyam Sankar of Palantir, and Alexandr Wang, Chief AI Officer of Meta.

Despite the wide participation of prominent figures, Elon Musk is not on the list. The entrepreneur, founder of Tesla and SpaceX, had previously been an advisor to Trump, but a public disagreement earlier this year marked a rift in their relationship, confirmed by a White House official.
