Today, June 23, 2025, “Byte The Silence” is released, the new comic about cyberbullying created by Red Hot Cyber, is available from today for free in electronic format, on our Academy platform. This is the fourth episode of the comic book series by BETTI-RHC, designed to tell the dangers of digital threats in an accessible, powerful and visual way, especially for the youngest.
“Byte The Silence” is much more than a simple read: it is a deep narrative experience, built on over 60 illustrated tables that tell the story of a victim of cyberbullying with sensitivity and impact. The title – a play on words between “Byte”, a digital unit of measurement, and “Break the Silence” – invites us to break the wall of silence that often surrounds those who suffer online abuse. The comic was created to be an educational tool, but also a way to give voice to those who are too often silenced by the weight of shame or fear.

Because as reported Massimiliano Brolli, founder of Red Hot Cyber, “We cannot forget Carolina Picchio, 14, who committed suicide after a humiliating video was shared online. Michele Ruffino, 17, who wrote a heartbreaking letter before taking his own life, tired of the constant insults he received, even via social media. Alessandro di Gragnano who decided to take his own life at 13 by jumping from a balcony, surrounded by threatening chats and teasing. Or the 15-year-old suicide from Sinigallia or the 13-year-old suicide from Palermo, as well as many, many foreign cases.”
The project was curated by the Art team of Red Hot Cyber, with the screenplay by Andrea Gioia Lomoro and the drawings by Andrea Canolintas and the Awareness messages by Daniela Farina. All the authors were able to blend narrative effectiveness and visual impact, giving life to a story where authentic emotions and situations that are unfortunately common to many teenagers are told. The comic touches on themes such as social exclusion, discriminatory chats, the weight of online judgment and the psychological consequences of cyberbullying.
“Byte The Silence” is a call to all adults and educators to take charge of protecting the new generations. “Cyberbullying is one of the most serious and insidious phenomena of the digital age. It can cause devastating, often irreparable psychological damage. With this project we want to say enough to indifference. It is our duty to provide concrete and free tools to those who want to make a difference”.

The comic is designed for a wide audience: from middle and high school students, to parents, teachers, educators and social workers without forgetting the bullies themselves. Red Hot Cyber encourages the spread of the comic, proposing itas a training tool in digital education and cyber security awareness courses. The possibility of downloading it for free in PDF formatis intended to break down any barrier to access, because prevention and awareness must be a right for everyone.
“Byte The Silence” reminds us that every click, every word, every silence counts.
