A new open-source script allows Windows 11 users to widely disable the operating system’s built-in artificial intelligence features . The project, developed by Zoicware , is called RemoveWindowsAI and aims to offer greater control over the AI components introduced by Microsoft.
The script allows you to remove or disable the main artificial intelligence features present in the official versions of Windows 11. It is executed via a simple command within the PowerShell console, without the need for additional software. Once launched, the user is presented with a structured list of options that allows them to modify individual components.

The changes applied by the script work primarily through the registry or by making certain features invisible within the Settings app. This way, the AI components aren’t simply ” hidden ,” but deactivated in a manner consistent with system configurations.
One of the key features of RemoveWindowsAI is the presence of a recovery mode.
This feature allows you to reactivate all previously disabled artificial intelligence features at any time , allowing the user to return to the original configuration without complex manual interventions.
The developers have specified that the script is designed to operate exclusively on AI features already officially released by Microsoft . Components present in preview versions or test channels are not included, a choice aimed at ensuring operational stability and reducing the risk of unexpected behavior.
In addition to the actual script, the project’s GitHub repository provides a set of instructions for manually disabling additional AI-based features.
These include tools like Gaming Copilot, which can be disabled through simple system options, often via a dedicated switch in the settings.
