Red Hot Cyber has received and is sharing with its readers the official statement from Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, the famous Monte Carlo casino, regarding a recent episode of possible cyber compromise that has attracted media attention and the cybersecurity community.

On Sunday, August 3, the company acknowledged a claim published by the ransomware group D4rk4rmy, which stated that it had conducted a cyber attack against the Monte Carlo Casino and had published extracted data, specifically a contact list limited to employees and customers, on its website.

The press release reads as follows:

Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer acknowledged on Sunday, August 3, a possible damage to its reputation, resulting from the claim of an alleged cyber attack. This act would involve access to a very limited number of contacts between employees and customers.

We immediately launched investigations into all possible sources and, in parallel, informed all the competent authorities in the Principality of Monaco – the Monegasque Cyber Security Agency (AMSN), the Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP), and the Public Security Directorate – with whom we are actively engaged.

We have personally filed a complaint.
At this stage, no intrusion or anomaly in our IT systems has been detected, nor any impact on our operations.

All relevant teams remain fully mobilized to verify and analyze, as quickly as possible, the veracity of this alleged cyber attack and the authenticity and ownership of any compromised data.

The incident was publicly claimed by the D4rk4rmy group, known for criminal ransomware attacks, which made its actions visible through its online portal, releasing some of the stolen data as a form of pressure on the casino to pay a ransom.

Ad Today, the Monte Carlo Casino confirmed that no operational damage was detected, and that investigations are ongoing to determine the full impact of the event.

Thanking the Monte Carlo Casino for the valuable information, Red Hot Cyber will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as new details emerge from official and investigative sources.
