Electronic and robotic warfare: Ukraine is banking on “AD Berserk” to counter enemy drones.

Electronic warfare is taking on an increasingly strategic role in modern warfare, becoming a crucial element in protecting infrastructure, troops, and vehicles from airborne and digital threats. In this context, the Ukrainian company Kvertus has announced the start of serial production of the new electronic warfare robot “AD Berserk”, as stated by CEO Yaroslav Filimonov on Facebook.

The AD Berserk is designed to operate on the front lines with an autonomy of up to 12 hours and an operational range of 20 km, characteristics that make it suitable for prolonged and distributed missions across the territory. The control range, also 20 km, allows operators to maneuver the robot while maintaining a safe distance from the most dangerous areas.

According to Kvertus, this electronic warfare system is capable of generating interference on the frequencies used by kamikaze drones, multirotor drones, and bomber drones, compromising their remote control or GPS signal. In a conflict where commercial and military drones have become essential tools for reconnaissance and strikes, electronic “blinding” capability represents a fundamental defense.

The Operational Tasks of the “Berserk”

The “Berserk” is not just a mobile jammer: its main operational functions include:

  • evacuation and coverage of the wounded in exposed areas;
  • Protection and support during mine clearance operations;
  • Support for troops in assault operations;
  • Defense of logistics corridors, protecting supply and transport lines.

This multi-role approach demonstrates how electronic warfare is no longer just a passive discipline of disruption, but is evolving into mobile, autonomous systems that are increasingly integrated into the battlefield.

Continuous innovation and technological development

Kvertus’ CEO emphasized that technologies are updated every month, with constant improvements to address a rapidly evolving enemy. “The goal is always the same: to protect against drones, save lives, preserve equipment and positions,” Filimonov said.

The company is already processing dozens of orders for the “Berserk,” a sign of the growing interest in solutions that combine mobility, autonomy, and electronic warfare power.
