A robot capable of performing complex household tasks was unveiled at the headquarters of Hefei Zero Square Robot Co., Ltd. , marking a new step in the development of embodied intelligence.
Inside the company’s exhibition hall, visitors could observe robots equipped with rotating arms performing everyday tasks such as cleaning tables, watering plants, and folding clothes . These demonstrations highlighted the high level of precision and coordination achieved by the control systems and manipulation mechanisms.
Hefei Zero Square Robot Co., Ltd. specializes in the research, development, and application of intelligent humanoid robots . The founding team comes from the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory of the Shenzhen International Graduate School of Tsinghua University , and has decades of experience in designing core robotic technologies and their engineering implementation.
Currently, the company has ( xinhuanet.com reports ) integrated capabilities ranging from motion control to embodied manipulation , including humanoid robots, robots with rotating arms and tools for data acquisition and training .
At the same time, the Baohe District , located in Hefei, is investing heavily in the development of embodied intelligence. In January 2024 , it established a dedicated humanoid robot team , aiming to promote innovation in key components and software algorithms .
This technological ecosystem has fostered the birth and growth of numerous companies in the industrial sector, including Zero Power, Zhongqing, Flexible Ketian, Lingtong, Zhongding Components, Jingke Robotics , and Xinghui Sensing . Today, over 60 companies specializing in intelligent robotics operate in the district, making it one of the emerging hubs in the sector.
On October 13 , engineers from Hefei Zero Square Robot Co., Ltd. also demonstrated remote control robots for performing housework and collecting training data , demonstrating the potential of these technologies for real-world applications.
